Piteu da Graça ( Largo da Graça 95-96 ) is a classic. Bacalhau, porco, dourada, etc are the typical Portuguese dishes. Best make a reservation.

Somewhat further is Quase Café (Rua do Salvador 32 ) and Augusto Lisboa ( Rua Santa M.nha 26 ). But typical Portuguese is to step into a Pastelaria (as the one Bemposta we have downstairs or Pastelaria Santa Clara) and get a coffee and biscuit.
New good kid on the block is L'Ape Boteco Italiano ( Rua da Senhora da Glória 116A ). No pizza but variations of platters and sandwiches.

You might crave for chocolate .. As Marias com Chocolate ( Campo de Santa Clara 220A ) is the perfect address.
You shouldn't leave Lisbon without having a drink in one of the many kiosks. Clara Clara Café is amongst the most known because of it's surroundings, especially when there is the flea market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
A warm atmosphere at O Botequim ( Largo da Graça 79 ) or just have delicious wine at Vino Vero ( Tv. do Monte 30 ).
Chique with a view
Via Graça ( R. Damasceno Monteiro 9 b ) has it all: good food, excellent wine and an incredible view
Estrela d'Ouro ( Rua da Graça 24) is down to earth 70s tasca next to a nice particular neighborhood with the same name built in 1909 by the famous architect Norte Junior. You will see stars on pavements and houses as part of this Barrio. The Pingo Doce nearby is in the first cinema that played movies with music in Portugal.
In the same style, even closer and deliciously basic, we often go to O Satelite near the tram 28 stop.
You might want to eat at home. There is nice little stores to do grocery shopping in Tv do Monte: Saga has delicious pastries, in front there is a traditional butcher, in the street there is Le Joyeux Gourmet for most groceries. Somewhat further on Largo da Graça you'll find a store on number 115 Vita Fruta with fruit and wines. If you need even more, head for Pingo Doce ( Rua da Graça 100 ).
