More Portuguese travel... today to the beautiful "Salinas de Rio Maior" where they make salt since the 12th century . We bought sea salt and "Fleur de sel" so that you get the very best at our Casa at your next visit . The latter is the finest, more moist and has a different crystal structure, more mineral complexity that makes it so special. It can only be harvested manually and the quantities are a lot smaller than regular salt . It is also called "the caviar of sea salts."
